“Operation NAMASTE”

All the organizations in the world are working at war level to control this pandemic COVID – 19. United Nations, World Health Organization and the World Bank, etc. Along with these, Governments of all countries working together to fight against this.
 The whole world is looking at India that how we control it because if it enters stage 3 means community transmission then it will be a disaster. That disaster will swipe out lakhs of population.
To control Coronavirus (COVID – 19) the Indian government already imposed curfew and lockdown in the whole country. All organizations work to control this pandemic before it becomes a disaster. The main problem with India is, India is not a developed country, India is a developing country with a population of 1.37 Billion.

To fight with coronavirus Indian Army come forward and launch operation “ Operation NAMASTE”
General Manoj Mukund Naravane stated that Operation Namaste provides all possible assistance to the government in containing the spread of coronavirus and insulates the 1.3 million strong force from the pandemic.

 He also stated that “I would request every one to take care of themselves and their families. Your safety is my first responsibility," the Army Chief said.”
Director-General of Armed Forces Medical Services Lt Gen Anup Banerjee stated that a total of 28 service hospitals have been identified for dealing with coronavirus cases including civilian patients.
  • Six Quarantine facilities at Manesar, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Chennai, Hindan, and Mumbai have been established where 1463 people evacuated from coronavirus affected countries have been accommodated.
  • The Forces are setting up more such facilities at Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Dundigal, Bengaluru, Kanpur, Jaisalmer, Jorhat and Gorakhpur which can be ready within 72 hours, if needed
COVID – 19 Testing Centres will be -
        Five hospitals of the three defense services can carry out COVID testing-
  • Army Hospital Research and Referral, Delhi
  • Command Hospital Air Force, Banglore
  • Armed Forces Medical College, Pune
  • Central Command Hospital, Lucknow
  • Northern Command Hospital, Udampur
We can understand this, Army also put other options on stand by because Lt. Gen. Banerjee said the Army is ready to dispatch an RRT (Rapid Response Team) to Nepal for assisting the country to deal with COVID-19 cases with this the Defence ministry asked to Retire health officials of AMC, and NCC cadets to be ready for action.


With Medical assistance, the Indian Army distributes free rations and supplies to daily wage earners, migrants laborers and deserving people located in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir During the hour of need.
At last General Naravane said “ Force protection is my priority, for only when we are well, can we serve the nation’, says Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane”
We should pray for the world and the Army of all countries because at last, your country should be in safe and healthy hands.
